The Weathered But Strong Hurricane Relief Fund was created by the Georgia Department of Agriculture, the Georgia Foundation for Agriculture, Georgia Farm Bureau, and coalition of more than 40 agriculture organizations as a cross-industry fundraising initiative to support farmers impacted by Hurricane Helene.

With overwhelming support from hundreds of donors, the campaign raised $1.74 million in just three months, providing direct assistance for agricultural losses not covered by insurance—such as damages to crops, livestock, fencing, and farm infrastructure. 100% of funds were distributed directly to affected farmers across 69 counties, with more than 920 checks issued.

This united effort showed what is possible when Georgia’s agricultural community stands together. While the Hurricane Helene campaign has closed, we are continuing to raise funds for long-term recovery, future disaster response, and farmer mental healthso Georgia’s farmers have the resources and resilience they need when the next storm hits.

All donations will be processed through the Georgia Foundation of Agriculture and will be tax deductible.  Contributions can be made through a secure online donation form or via check (made out to the Georgia Foundation for Agriculture).

We welcome donations from corporations, organizations and foundations who have a vested interest in the preservation of Georgia's agriculture industry. Please view our full campaign document here.
